Sunflower hearts are always a favourite with my feathered visitors. The version with a mix of whole and chipped works well in my feeders and the birds don't notice anyway.

Twootz sunflower hearts are always a favourite with my feathered visitors. The robin will be hovering around as I'm hanging the feeders up and will be first in, followed by a deluge of house sparrows. The blue tits, great tits and long-tailed tits will arrive when it's slightly quieter. I also have the blackcaps back.

We were without for several days until the order finally arrived. It seemed to take longer this time and sadly, we only got the notification of the delivery on a day that we weren't going to be at home.
Luckily, our neighbour took the package in for us.

But, the birdies are happy and that's all that counts. The Goldfinches have the Black Niger seed in a 6 port feeder but they also queue up to happily eat on the 2 port feeder we use for the Sunflower Seed Hearts.

Quality product attracting a pleasingly wide variety of birds.

This winter I decided to buy a number of those plastic transparent, window pane mounted seed feeders which are fixed by means of suckers, to the window glass. Shaped like the gable end of a house fixing them at the bottom of the pane allows a nice, close-up view of the birds whilst keeping food sheltered and in better condition out of snow, flood, rain or mud. Some of these feeders have seperate feeding troughs which can be removed for washing without removing the whole feeder from the window - very handy. You will get a very good close view of anything which is hungry enough to come for food. I have all manner of tits, finches, blackbirds. Some birds take a seed away and eat whilst others will perch on the wall of the trough and stay for a minute or so. It's a real pleasure to watch them this close.
I had an unusual and fearless visitor a few days ago who has returned for peanuts and sunflower seed for ten or fifteen minutes at a time to two particular window feeders. Pine Marten.

I have 2 large feeders for sunflower hearts and would be refilling them several times a day if the birds had their way. Always popular with the birds and gives them the nourishment needed in these winter months. And a good price as well!

My last order of Sunflower hearts, which arrived as whole hearts, was completely different to the previous order, the latter being in small pieces that leaked out of the feeders and were scattered everywhere by the birds resulting in considerable waste = a need for much better quality control!

Sunflowers are a firm favourite with all our birds, and apart from the normal smaller birds on the feeders, some of our rock doves have also learnt to hover on the feeders and take the seed themsleves, rather than wait beneath for whatever is dropped by the smaller birds - these sunflowers are very reasonably priced so a good purchase.

Seeds are OK but the packaging has gone from a sturdy recyclable sack to a flimsy plastic bag. With too much plastic waste this is not an environmentally friendly move and I’m surprised to see it.

Always a favourite with my local bird population. The robin is usually the first on the scene when I top the feeders up and barely gives me time to hang them up. Then the sparrows will descend on mass and the feeders will be empty again by the end of the day.

I ordered 2 x 12.5 kg bags of sunflower hearts but was delivered 2 bags of nothing more than tiny tiny chips of sunflowers and dust. My advice would be do not buy sunflower hearts from Twootz.

Always excellent product. Birds in our garden absolutely love these. In the beginning it was mainly goldfinches and the odd chaffinch and green finch. Now we have sparrows, blue, great and coal tits and even the odd collared dove, merrily scoffing them. I purchased a very large 3kg feeder a while ago as the smaller one, emptied so fast. It still empties in a week and I even had a complaint from a neighbour, that my huge feeder was hogging al the birds. I asked her what she was feeding them and she said, just mixed bird seed , some fat balls and a couple of half coconut shells. I gave her my old feeder and filled it with sunflower hearts, problem solved, we get just as many birds on the feeder and she gets some too. I also recommended using Twooz to stock up of her bird food, as I believe they are the best and very competitive on price.

Put these in separate feeders for the small birds. Sparrows, blue tits, chaffinches who will soon be joined by others when it warms up. They go mad for these. Also mix with suet pellets and mealworms for other feeders and to spread on the ground every day.

Quality of the sunflower hearts is very good and the Goldfinchs, Greenfinchs, Bullfinch et al absolutely love them. Although they don't have to pay for them, I find that twootz offers on 25kg quantity is the best on the internet and the loyalty points helps a little. For quality and price Twootz are hard to beat!

When I saw the product I was initially concerned if the birds would enjoy it, but they do so I would continue to buy it from Twootz.

This batch that I received were very poor to be honest. I note from the website that the batch is a mix of whole and broken seed, but I can assure you that my 25kg were entirely broken and contained a considerable amount of dust. This is very unusual from this site, that has always previously been good on quality. Much of this seed was unfit for purpose, as it fell out of my feeders onto the floor, attracting pigeons and other undesirables, like rats.
I would like reassurance on receiving whole sunflower hearts before ordering again

The quality of the sunflower seed was very poor, it seems to me that this was the bottom dregs as there was a lot of what appeared to be dust and crushed up seed.. Not your usually quality at all very disappointing.

This batch of sunflower hearts is chopped. The birds like them anyway, but lots get dropped on the ground - too many for the ground feeding birds to eat, so they remain there to attract rats unfortunately. They have always been whole before, so that's what I expected.

Very good quality sunflower hearts as usual which attracts a variety of local species, goldfinches, blue tits, chaffinches, house sparrows, nutchatches, dunnocks, collared doves, and my friendly blackbirds to name a but a few. Always buy in bulk to keep up with demand as they can’t get enough!

Not up to your usual high standard of 'whole' sunflower hearts but the birds still love them.

Sunflower hearts received and transferred into plastic tubs. In doing so I noticed that most of the contents were pieces of broken sunflower hearts which when poured into the feeder tend to escape through the mesh of the feeder and onto the ground. Good for the ground feeding birds. It looks as though the mill used a very fine screen on the dresser whereby they only lost the husk.

These sunflower hearts seem to have now overtaken the nyjer seed as the Goldfinches favourite.

We use these all the time and the birds love them, the fact that they are smaller pieces and not full hearts I think is actually better as there seems to be less waste as the finches etc don’t end up crushIng full hearts and dropping a lot of it
Very happy with it

These were supposed to be sunflower hearts. They arrived on time however upon opening them I found that each sunflower heart had been diced up to that of a small crumb, and when put into the bird feed it keep pouring out. These are utterly useless, I have seen my resident blue tits land on the feeder, search all 6 ports, and fly off without eating as they didn't like what they found. I will never purchase sunflower hearts from Twootz again. I would strongly recommend not buying these useless sunflower hearts, and purchase from another retailer.

These sunflower hearts are the best I’ve bought in a long time.

I would highly recommend these sunflower hearts . I've some feeders on my feeding station which the chaffinch enjoy. I also have Doves and Pigeons which eat off the trays. If the tray is empty the pigeon sits on it and looks towards my window for it filling up.
I've also recommended them to a friend , so when I placed my order I ordered some for her aswell plus I got 10 % off my order this time, so we are both happy with the price.

Well, the birds certainly love these! I suppose, like humans, some are messy eaters. One of the birds was pulling out the sunflower hearts from the feeder and throwing them on the ground for other birds to eat. Not sure whether he didn't want to share the feeder or was just being generous...

HAve waited a while to leave a review as the product ( as described) was very small bits of sunflower seed and I was wondering how it would go down with our birds. However, having filled a couple of feeders with it, they seem to be prefectly happy with this as a replacement for a standard seed mix.

Too many broken chips in bags of sunflower hearts received June 2020. To be fair Twootz do have a customer notice on their website warning about quality but I missed it and ordered 25kg. Hopefully the birds won't notice but only time will tell. I don't want his quality again so I need very careful when I order again.

I had reservations about ordering these sunflower hearts as they were described as broken/chipped. However, as they were 75% the price of other vendors, I thought I’d give them a go. They were fine. Actually, with the number of fledgelings around, they were probably a better choice than the whole sunflower hearts I normally order as the younger birds seem to find them easier to eat. Have bought again.

Birds don't seem keen on the sunflower seeds. Not sure if they are good quality or not as it is the first time I have bought this item although they do look like they have been through a grinder.
Filled up the feeder three days ago and there's still some left. Normally when I fill up with suet pellets it's gone in a couple of hours! Will stick to suet pellets in the future.

The Goldfinch and woodpeckers are abundant on the feeders with chaffinch picking up the crumbs from the floor.

I dont mind if the sunflower seeds are pieces, the birds still love them. I like the fact the bags inside are sealed as I still have half a box so these will stay fresh until they need opening

Lots of broken hearts! Not the usual high standard by any stretch of the imagination. The pieces fall out of the feeders and while the weather was dry, I was willing to sweep them up and re-use them but in the current wet weather, they are a disaster.
Please go back to the supplier who sent WHOLE hearts.

Like an earlier review I was very disappointed as there were more like "chips" than whole kernels. I also noticed a note had since been put on twootz website stating this. Always good quality, but slightly overpriced compared to some sellers on ebay

This is the first time I have had to leave adverse comments on an order, they have usually been good quality and value. The sunflower hearts were in a very flimsy plastic bag in the box which split when I tried to remove them. The hearts were more dust than usual, and the bag also contained a variety of different seeds, husks and debris. I can appreciate you trying not to use plastic sacks but the flimsy bag was not up to the job. The peanuts were fine as usual, but the flimsy bag comments apply, Regards Ernie

I ordered sunflower hearts and seem to have received 'chopped' sunflower hearts' which is very disappointing When I've ordered these in the past the vast majority of the hearts were whole, this time I am hard pushed to find a whole one - it's almost as if I've received the dregs from a bigger batch.

These bits fall out of the feeders that i have so I'll only be able to put them on the ground or the bird table - great for the blackbirds but not so good for the tits and finches. If this is now what is being supplied can I please ask that you amend the photo on your website and stress in the description that these are not whole hearts. I'll now need to look for another supplier to get whole hearts for my feeders.

I like the fact that your product now comes in boxes but can I please ask that you put the seed in stronger plastic bags, that would make it easier to transfer into storage tubs..

I am disappointed in the quality of the Sunflower Hearts. Usually the batch contains majority of whole sunflowers but the batch received today is virtually all bits.

This means that the feeder that I purchased from you specifically for sunflower hearts now has much of the seed falling through the wire mesh meant for larger pieces.

I will certainly review the situation when I make my next purchase of Sunflower Hearts.

Not happy with quality of sunflower hearts, they are sunflower nibs which just make a mess and birds are unable to feed on these.

Arrived on time. Very pleasant delivery driver. I noticed the quality did not seem as good as before not all the seeds are whole as usual. Not that the birds are bothered.

I must be extremely unlucky as this is my 3rd order in the last month where the quality of the product I've received has been bad. Not only did I have to wait for nearly a month for the sunflower hearts to arrive, when they did they were dark coloured sunflower chips, I tried them in my feeders and they wouldn't flow through so I had to constantly clean them out, I tried them on my table mix and they just left a mess, even the birds don't take them as much. They might be competitively priced but not when I have to go out and purchase another 50 kilo's of decent sunflower hearts.

These were different to the usual ones as they were chopped sunflower hearts rather than whole. Hopefully the birds will still enjoy them but it would be nice to be informed of substitutions.

Product is good quality and value.

However, very slow delivery - 19 days (15 working days) from order to delivery. No communication from Twootz, or updates on website, explaining the delay - I had to contact them to find out.

I found a lot of whole peanuts in the sack, especially towards the bottom. I had to pick them out as my sunflower feeders are not suitable for peanuts. I ended up with a large nut feeder half full of peanuts. Unfortunately my feathered visitors don't go much by peanuts, which is why I don't buy them.
I also found about half of the sunflower seeds were chopped rather than whole.

This is my second sack and the first was good quality so I'm hoping the poor quality of this sack is a one-off.

As always these sunflower hearts are top quality for an amazing price. The birds love them and since I started scattering some on the ground, I have had a chaffinch join the sparrows at feeding time, and a bullfinch on one of our feeders. It does pay to feed the birds good quality food. I will never buy bird food from anywhere else.

my sunflower hearts have arrived today and look of very good quality and well packed so no split bag. I'm hoping they will last a good few month but the way the birds of all kinds get down them maybe not.

They are large hearts and the birds get through a feeder full in less than a day during this cold weather. I was so glad when they arrived as I was buying small packets that lasted one day and it was costing me a lot more than my regular sack. Will soon need another one! This is my second order of sunflower hearts and the quality was excellent and completely different from my first order. The first time I got them, I was very dissatisfied because it had hardly any full sunflower hearts in it. Just bits of chipped hearts and dust.
My second order is fantastic and contained nothing but full hearts with no dust or chipped bits. The white bag they came in was sealed and of very good quality. The poor quality sunflower hearts came in a clear, thin plastic bag which was unsealed. Now I know that if the sunflower hearts do not come in a proper sealed, white thick bag, then it is likely you will get the substandard sweepings off the factory floor.
I'm glad I bought again from Twootz because this time I have no complaints about the excellent quality of sunflower hearts. I will put my first order down to unfortunate bad luck.

Slightly disappointed that the sun flower hearts weren’t whole but the birds didn’t seem to mind they still ate them heartily.

The picture shows full sunflower hearts and no mention in the description of any other product. What I received was a 25kg bag of what can only be described as "bits" with not one whole heart to be seen.
I am very disappointed that what I ordered in good faith based on the photograph and description was not what I received.
I have contacted Twootz and await their response to rectify.

The sunflower hearts are great quality and birds absolutely love them, hence why I buy the 25kg sacks as they are gone in no time. We even get up to a dozen ring neck parakeets coming down a couple of times a day to eat them.

This is the first time I've ordered sunflower hearts from Twootz, as I normally by Gardmans from my local garden centre which has now got very pricey. However, what a huge difference in the quality compared to these from Twootz. The bag was full of broken dried up husk, small bits of hearts and a low percentage of whole hearts. I know the price is much lower but I wasn't expecting such poor quality. I am very disappointed but may be this is just a one off. Will have to see what my birds think of these poor quality sunflower hearts.

Have ordered sunflower hearts over the years and they have always been excellent quality, this last batch however are very poor quality, they are full of dust, broken dried up husk and hearts. Decided to sift the hearts otherwise the feeders would no doubt clog up. Weighed the dust I could salvage and it weighed over 300 grams.
Just hope this is just a one off, all previous orders over the years have been of very good quality and the birds have been very happy.

Have ordered these before and they have always been very good. This last batch however are very dusty. They clog up the feeders and the birds seem to be eating them slower. When filling the feeders clouds of dust appear and there is loads of residue in the seed trays.

These sunflower hearts are a great food for most birds with no mess left that you get from black sunflower seeds, any seeds dropped from the feeders are picked up quickly, a bit more expensive but well worth the little extra cost, a very good product.

Another prompt delivery of these fabulous sun flower hearts and I've now converted my neighbours to them too. It's a joy to see the birds on the feeders all throughout the day and now that the nights are lighter I see them on the feeders until just before 8pm. The babies are also there but at the moment they wait for their parents to come to the feeders then they are fed. At this rate I'll be ordering another 25kg bag soon. But it's lovely to see them so I really don't mind!

I have to top up the feeder with these (mixed with Niger seeds) every three to four days as the Goldfinches and House Sparrows can't get enough, even the Blue Tits have a go at them from time to time and they generally prefer the mealworm suet pellets or a locally-sourced suet candle. Very popular and going down fast! I highly recommend them.

A great no-mess alternative to bird seed and the birds love it!

Wanted to try these to see if I could attract the greenfinches to our garden since they'd been noticeably absent for a few years now. I bought 25kg of them. I filled two feeders and waited. Early the next day, I watched as sparrow visited and tuned them down, expecting the usual seed mix I guess, blue tits tried a couple, the nuthatches seemed to like them.. but then later in the after noon on the next day, two green finches. Result

I was so happy to see the again I even posted a photo. In fact I have now uploaded photos of many of the species that visit my garden.

Very happy and I am sure, once sunflower hearts become a regular in the garden the Greenfinches will too. Although with the amount of feed I am now buying, I might just need to get a garden shed in which to store it all haha.

We started off with a simple table and two feeders with peanuts. I now have 16 feeders, placed around the garden. hanging in the hazel tree, from two feeder stations and in various other spots.Peanuts (chopped), sunflower hearts, various seed mixes, utterly peanut butterly in coconut halves, fatballs, fruit mixes, niger seed and occasionally fat blocks and very occasionally scraps from the kitchen..

as ever these are fantastic and great value. Just had starlings and their fledglings pay a visit for a feed :)

The birds love the sunflower hearts, previously my feeders had blue tits, great tits, chaffinch and greenfinch birds but since using these sunflower hearts, lots of goldfinches wait for feeding times.

Moved to a new house in the summer and put up the feeders with the sunflower hearts in, my neighbour came down to see what they were as all the birds had abandoned her feeders in favour of mine and the yummy sunflower hearts, she is now a convert and has ordered her own so now the birds have a constant supply of these. They even can empty a feeder in one day. They love them and I like the no mess (ie no husks).

The goldfinches like these as well as the tits. They are great and because they are the hearts of the sunflower there is very little mess on the ground.

This product arrived in good condition, double wrapped in sacks. The seed itself looked fresh and was competitively priced and the birds love it.

A really good product. The birds in our large garden manage to get through a 25kg sack of these sunflower seeds every month and are now being helped by a small flock of pheasants who are hiding out in our garden to avoid the guns! They certainly get the seal of approval from them. Will be buying regularly in future as they are a good price compared to other suppliers, even at their usual full price and are well packed so no spills on arrival.

I regularly buy these sunflower seeds for my birds, they leave no mess and they bring in numerous different birds to my feeding area, (goldfinch, bullfinch, chaffinch, etc.

When feeding on mixed seeds, the tits seem to throw most of them on the ground to get to the sunflower seeds, so I am trying out the sunflower hearts this time. Extremely popular! They now throw the smaller seeds out to get to the largest ones! At least this way the ground feeders get a look in!

My birds just love these and they are always lovely and fresh when I buy them from Twootz. I get a wide variety of small birds such as blue and great tits, greenfinches, nuthatches, goldfinches and lesser spotted woodpeckers that simply love these as do the wood pigeons! I couldn't recommend highly enough. Fabulous.

The small birds go mad for these sunflower hearts. I get every kind of Tits visit plus several kinds of finches. The usual sparrows and ground feeders pick up all the hearts that fall from the feeders so there is very little mess and no weed growth around the feeders. Highy recommend Twootz for bird food, and the prices are much better than the local garden centres etc especially buying larger amounts

Once again another excellent product from Twootz. The birds love them and I have also been mixing some in with the Utterly Peanut Butter and it is going down a storm. The birds in my garden have increased no end. Would recommend.

This is the second lot of these sunflower hearts I have had.
The birds just love them, there is no waste, or unsightly growing mess on the floor.
We also have more different species coming to feed, what ever falls to the floor the ground feeding birds hoover them up quickly.
I would not hesitate to recommend these,really good value for money.

These sunflower hearts are much loved by our many birds. I haven't bought them separately before as they are already in the No Mess Bird Mix but it's nice to add extra as and when required.
