It's a Dogs Life!

I’ve had many pets through the years, growing up as a small boy my parents always had pets around the house. Good company, good fun and always happy to see you.

It's a Dogs Life

My pet list over the years has been impressive, from the usual cats and dogs to ferrets and gerbils. As I’ve got older, my wife and I have carried on the tradition of family pets, and my children have also benefited from having pets around them - Cats, Snakes, Guinea Pigs, Stick Insects, Hamsters and Rabbits to name but a few. We no longer have any “small” pets in our house as the children have left home but we still have our dog “Alfie”.
I cannot think of a better lifestyle than the one Alfie lives. A beautifully made up bed that is plumped up every night, breakfast served at 7.30 am (which generally he leaves till he’s woken from his morning nap). Great food from Twootz that we change on a regular basis to stop him getting bored of it, lengthy walks in the sunshine (he doesn’t like going out in the rain or wind, he hides under the table). An afternoon nap every day, dinner served 6pm prompt, a little while spent in the garden to aid his digestion, then an evening nap, drink before bed and curling up on his plumped up bed. All this and he still looks grumpy….you just can’t win!!

It’s like the princess and the pea! My wife treats him better than me, I wish I was catered for in the same fashion.
So, It’s a dog’s life……sounds good to me!
