Bought sunflower suet pellets using Twootz and wouldn't use any other company - they are always my 'go to' for wild bird's food. I add to it the insect suet pellets. Maybe the preference with the sparrows is the insect pellets. Now about to buy some seeds to add to both of them. Not sure all the sparrows eat everything or what foods they prefer as I see them knocking out various things from their ports but overall what is not their favourite another one loves so I will always buy the pellets as well as the seed.

As usual with Twoots, the product is top notch. I was less than happy with the DHL delivery guy though. He came while I was in the house and literally just threw my boxes into the porch. The thud when it landed shook the front door. I went out with the intention of telling him what I thought about him, but he had shot off in the van by then. Never had this problem with DPD.

Pellets can be reduced to crumbs through overhandling during delivery which is the biggest drawback in buying pellets or fat balls. Otherwise this feed is very popular with blackbirds, starlings and some tits and woodpeckers.

Like to vary flavours but whatever I get the birds love them

Sunflower suet pellets arrived today. As with other pellets I've bought from Twootz they were well formed pellets with virtually no powder so will be no waste. Mixed them with a similar size bag of Berry pellets and put some out for the birds. The birds came down immediately (I'm sure they had been watching me unpack and mix them) and cleared the lot. The birds that visit my garden prefer the suet pellets over any other food and nothing gets thrown on the floor which is great because pigeons don't hang around

All the suet pellets are excellent value for money, an£ the birds love their quick energy fix.

Always good products although find that the pellets are getting smaller so fall out of the suet feeders which means most of it goes on the ground. Delivery took two weeks and an email to customer services!

I think it will take a while for the wildlife to get used to these. Squirrels have sniffed them out as have the pine martens but no one really making a meal out of them and much preferring the sunflower hearts, or what I have left of them to offer in the feeders. What will be will be.

When ever I put more food out for the birds, I am amazed how quickly the birds are there to devour the offerings, ranging from sparrows, robins, bull finches, chaffinches, starlings, blackbirds, wood pigeons, crows and jackdaws. This year the feeding frenzy started late which I put down to the loss of two oak trees, one had rotted through the heart and had a sycamore growing out of the the top of the trunk, the other oak had grown that tall that the Tree Preservation Officer advised that it was taken down at the same time as the roots must have close to undermining the property. Unfortunately this lost a lot of branches for the birds to sit and wait for the feed to be distributed. The neighbours on each side of the property have feeding stations as well.
At the moment I am still waiting for the return of the magpies, thrushes and two pied wagtails. There are several nests around the property and it will be mayhem again with the parents trying to feed the fledglings, last one starling was feeding three fledges.

Very good product. The pellets are soft enough for blackbirds to feed to their growing young.

Change of season means change of flock of starlings and change of eating habits. The summer flock don't seem as keen on these as those that have been with us all winter. Not to worry though, they are still going down well!

First time I have tried Sunflower Heart Suet pellets, what a great choice the birds love them and especially the Goldfinchs that are one of my favourite birds to watch. Since putting them in the feeders have had a procession of different species, word certainly seems to have got around.

Initially the starlings, the main birds to get anywhere near the feeders, were not sure of theses as it was the first time I'd had them. But given a week, they attack them the same as the other pellets, so they must be just as good as the rest of the range.

I prefer these to the fat balls as you can choose how much to put out so there is less waste. Good size for the birds to eat and arrived in a really good condition. The box is strong for storing them and the suet is a really good quality. The birds in my garden love them, will 100% order them again

Our birds love these but we've had to restrict the pigeons getting their beaks on them so had to do a bit of a juggle of our feeders on our tree in the back garden.
The goldfinches and blue tits were being robbed by the greedy pigeons and a very clever collared dove who found a way to cling to the feeder and throw it on the ground.
But we've got 2 very nice sunflowers growing in the back garden now!

Just one concern the last few orders of pellets seem to be cut longer tHan before which can lead to them becoming stuck in the feeders meaning you have to keep knocking the feeders to make sure they dislodge so the birds can reach them. However, as usual the quality and price are great.

Ordered these as the variety I wanted was out of stock and boy o boy do the birds love them! I use a peanut feeder to serve them in and have to re-fill it every day. These pellets will be my first choice from now on.

Whilst the cold weather is here we are having to feed more pellets as the birds love them so much. They even sit in the hedgerow opposite our house and when I go out to fill the container with the fat sticks they are flying across in a huge flock ( approx 40-50 sparrows) before I get back into the house. They are even brave enough to come within a couple of feet of you if you throw a few of the good quality pellets onto the decking.

They are soft enough so that the bird's can break bit's off to eat, highly recommended to all bird lover's! I usually mix my pellets with sunflower heart's, that way the bird's can have a choice of seed or pellet! Can't recommend Twootz enough to anyone who need's bird food. Excellent value for money by buying in bulk. I find it best to mix them with seed, rather than put them out on their own. We have a lot of squirrels in our garden, and they love to eat all of what we put out for the birds. We do put out a bit of bread each day cut up quite small, and we mix suet pellets, seed and broken peanuts with it. This is all thrown out on to our back lawn where large and small birds together go around pecking quite happily.

First time I have come across Sunflower hearts suet pellets - they seem to appeal to a wide variety of birds so I shall buy again.

This is the first time we have bought the sunflower pellets as we thought the birds might like a change from the mealworms pellets, but they are not big fans of these ones. This is good news as we are taking longer to get through them and not having to refill twice daily.

My only ongoing problem with the suet pellets is the packaging.

Two 12.5 kg boxes are taped together making the package very heavy to handle. Then when one undoes them one has no idea of the top or bottom.

The pellets themselves are wrapped in very flimsy clear plastic bags which are not sealed. This means pellets spill everywhere when one tries to decant them into smaller containers. The plastic bags also tear very easily.

The product itself is brilliant.

I mix these with suet pellets and everyone seems happy

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the product itself. The birds love it.
However the packaging leaves a lot to be desired. This is the second time I have ordered two bags of suet pellets at the same time (2 x 12.55kg). The first time they arrived they were leaking out of the cardboard boxes they had been placed in loose. Both boxes were taped together.

This time both boxes were taped together again which means that it is incredibly difficult to separate them without spilling just over 25 kgs of pellets all over the floor. One box had come adrift down the side seam. The pellets had been placed in very flimsy plastic bags which had split open due to the weight.

Luckily I have containers into which I can put the pellets otherwise I would be in a very difficult position...

Suggestion: put the pellets i.e. 12.55kg at a time in strong bags as you do for niger seed, sunflower hearts etc. Then the problems would not arise. Why do you not do this? Other suppliers do.
