Raisins are an excellent food source for both fruit eating and softbill birds such as blackbirds, and wildlife such as hedgehogs, badgers and squirrels as they are high in natural sugars and vitamins.
Raisins can be fed from bird tables or the ground and can be made even more attractive by soaking overnight in a little water to plump them up.
