Floor removes for easy cleaning
The Gardman Multi Nest Box is perfect for nesting during the winter months. Not only does it make an attractive addition to your garden, but it will also attract a variety of birds. The 32mm entrance hole will encourage Sparrows, Great Tits as well as Nuthatches into your garden.
How To Use
Site the nest box away from any high winds and rain and keep out of direct sunlight. Keep away from bird feeders as feeding birds can disturb nesting birds. If the nest box is being attached to a tree, angle the front of the box slightly downwards to prevent water entering. Position the nest box around 4 to 6ft off the ground to prevent the risk of predators and in a quiet place.
Feeding Tips
With food resources scarce now, it is essential to feed garden birds all year round. Put out food at the start of the day to ensure that birds can replace the energy they have lost overnight. Locate feeders near cover, so that the birds have a safe place to retreat to that is away from predators. Always provide fresh, clean water.
Storage & Hygiene
Nest boxes can be cleaned out between 1st August and 31st January but be aware that some birds may still be breeding! Removing old nests can reduce the number of nest parasites, including fleas, present the following season. Always ensure wild birds have plenty of fresh, clean water for drinking and bathing. Clean feeding and drinking areas regularly with a mild disinfectant.
